KINGMAN – A Kingman man who faced as many as 70 years in prison for his alleged abuse of his son and a niece decided to accept a plea agreement following a Tuesday settlement conference. The proposed plea agreement for Kenneth McIntire, 30, is scheduled to be entered September 26. A school resource officer began investigating after learning a 13-year-old boy suffered lower body injuries. KINGMAN – On Monday, September 16, at about 2:30 p.m., Kingman Police arrested Charles Raymond Slansky, 38, and Laschell Charmaine Eastman, 45, both of Kingman, on felony charges of first degree burglary and theft. According to a Kingman Police Department press release, officers responded to a residence in the 1900 block of Slaughterhouse Canyon Rd. regarding the report of subjects being on the roof and entering through a window of the home. KINGMAN – On Monday, September 16, at 1:55 p.m., Kingman Police (KPD) investigated an injury crash on Harrison St. near Kingman Ave. According to a KPD press release, a 2016 Dodge truck, driven by a 63-year-old Mohave Valley man was turning left onto Kingman Ave. into the path of a 1994 Harley Davidson motorcycle. The motorcyclist, a 29-year-old Kingman man, was unable to avoid the collision, crashing into the right side of the truck. KPD awarded ALEAP accreditation

KINGMAN – The Kingman Police Department (KPD) has been awarded accreditation status by the Arizona Association of Chief of Police (AACOP) through its Arizona Law Enforcement Accreditation Program (ALEAP). The award was made on Thursday, September 12, during the AACOP annual conference in Laughlin, Nev. KPD had an on-site assessment on August 5 and 6. The assessors were Deputy Chief Reuben Nuñez from the Marana Police Department and Assistant Chief Bruce Walls from the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office.
