Victim was struck, drug hundreds of feet

Alleged hit-and-run driver apprehended BULLHEAD CITY – On Tuesday, November 12 at about 8 p.m., a van driven by 74-year-old Alton Ervin, reportedly caused a motor vehicle accident on Highway 95 and Central Avenue. The two occupants in the other vehicle got out of their car and told police they attempted to stop the driver of the van from leaving the scene. The van then reportedly accelerated away from the crash scene and struck the female passenger from the other vehicle, dragging her hundreds of feet. Body found floating in lake identified

LAKE HAVASU CITY – Mohave County Sheriff’s Office Detectives are continuing to investigate the incident of a deceased man found floating face down in Lake Havasu near a business in the 1300 block of McCulloch Blvd. on October 5. Fingerprints from the body were obtained during autopsy and sent to Homeland Security for analysis and identification. On Friday, Nov. 8, detectives were notified that the fingerprints belonged to Hyok Kyo Chong, 52, of California.
