City offices closed for Martin Luther King, Jr. Day

City offices in Lake Havasu City, Kingman, and Bullhead City will be closed on Monday, January 20, in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day. Police and Fire Department services are unaffected, however administrative offices are closed. All City offices resume normal schedules on Tuesday, January 21. The Aquatic Center in Lake Havasu City is open for lap swim and exercise classes until 1:00 p.m. and the Community Center is open for Pickleball from 9:00 a.m. to noon. OATMAN – Come down to Oatman on Saturday, Jan. 25, for the Great Oatman Bed Races. Watch as teams of five haul a metal-framed bed on wheels (one member rides on the bed) down a dusty stretch of the center of town to a station where a waiting bed must be made up with sheets and pillow cases before racing the original bed on wheels back to where they started, or the finish line.
