LAKE HAVASU CITY – Mohave County Sheriff’s Office Deputies arrested Aaron Jacob De La Cruz, 19, of Lake Havasu City, on multiple felony charges. On Friday, Oct. 11, at approximately 9 p.m., deputies made a traffic stop for a disabled brake light. A search of the vehicle was conducted and deputies located 20 individually packaged THC vape pen cartridges, 97 grams of marijuana, baggies, and a digital scale. When asked about the quantity of items found in the vehicle, De La Cruz claimed it was for personal use.
KINGMAN – Kingman Police report that an elderly man found dead in a vehicle apparently committed suicide. Deputy Chief Rusty Cooper said the 90-year-old shot himself in a van that was parked on a dirt lot behind a business in the 3900 block of Stockton Hill Road Monday afternoon, Oct. 14. Cooper said it is believed that the shooting occurred the previous evening. There was no sign of foul play and the name of the victim is withheld pending notification of kin. Cooper said investigators are also looking for information that will help them identify suspects in another mail theft…
KINGMAN – Kingman Social Club will host a fundraiser to benefit the Kingman Disabled American Veterans, the Kingman Police Department K9 Unit, and the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office K9 Unit. The fundraiser will be held at Kingman Chevrolet, 3730 Stockton Hill Rd., on Saturday, Nov. 2 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. There will be raffles, silent auctions, door prizes, and sale items. Every dollar collected goes to the three selected charities. KINGMAN – A Bullhead City man will go to the Arizona Department of Corrections for his involvement in an April 1 shooting incident in the vicinity of Mead Lane and Gregg Lane. No one was injured. An attempted second degree murder charge is being reduced to an aggravated assault conviction for Jonathan Hash, 21. The agreement convicts Hash of a second aggravated assault count while other charges are dismissed. Deputy Mohave County Attorney Jim Ferlmann said Hash initiated a confrontation before members of the group followed as he retreated. Northern Arizona Consolidated Fire District #1 (NACFD) received $18,763 from the Governor’s Office of Highway Safety for the purchase of vehicle stabilization equipment that will help NACFD to increase on-scene safety to both victims and emergency responders of motor vehicle accidents. The equipment will enhance emergency medical services enforcement throughout the district. “The span of responsibilities in today’s fire service span all hazards and the opportunity to utilize grant funding to assist in purchasing of specialized equipment allows the department to remain fiscally prudent and still achieve the desired level of service for our customers regardless of the emergency,” stated…
