Soroptimists host free book program

KINGMAN – Soroptimist International of Kingman will host a free monthly book program – The Dolly Parton Foundation Imagination Library –  for children ages birth to five years old. Register children on Sunday, Nov. 24 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Kingman Elks Lodge #468. Mrs. Claus and her helpers will have snacks available. This is open to the public. Each registered child will receive a new book in the mail every month until they reach five years old. This program encourages literacy and family values. For more information, contact 928-753-3557.

$1,000 reward offered for homicide suspect Wallace

BULLHEAD CITY – The Bullhead City Police Department (BHCPD) is actively investigating a homicide, where one man was fatally shot and his wife was injured. Detectives are still searching for Jonathan Arthur Wallace, 27, who is wanted for first degree murder. A felony warrant has been issued for his arrest. Mohave Silent Witness is offering a reward up to $1,000 for any information leading to his arrest. Man threatens store employees with iron rod

KINGMAN – On Monday, November 18, at about 10:00 p.m., Kingman Police arrested Roger Donald Denny, 54, of Kingman, on felony counts of aggravated assault and criminal damage. Officers responded to a restaurant in the 3200 block of Andy Devine Ave., for a report of a man wielding a large metal pole, threatening employees and damaging television monitors. KINGMAN – A Youth/Adult Bowling Tournament will be held Friday, Dec. 13 at Cerbat Lanes. All youth and adults are welcome to participate, league and non-league. Youth bowlers are 19 and under.
