Grief support available

KINGMAN – Harmony Hospice Bereavement Services hosts a grief support group every Wednesday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the WACOG building, 208 N. Fourth St., Room 210. Their motto is, “We Understand the Struggle: You Are Not Alone,” and offers group support for anyone experiencing any loss that has cause grief and sadness. Come out and explore the dynamics of grief and learn about healthy ways to cope. The group is facilitated by a grief support specialist.

Hunters get second shot at doves beginning Friday

Arizona dove hunters will be able to double their wing-shooting pleasure when the state’s “second” season begins Friday, Nov. 22. Unlike the 15-day season that begins Sept. 1, the late season lasts 45 days and runs through Jan. 5, 2020. There still is a 15-bird daily bag limit, all of which must be mourning doves. The possession limit remains 45 mourning doves after opening day, of which no more than 15 may be taken in any one day. Teen charged with child molestation

KINGMAN – Mohave County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) detectives arrested Michael Trey Hefner, 19, of Kingman, for molestation of a child. Detectives were contacted by Huntington Beach Police Department regarding a delayed report of child molest that occurred in 2017 at a home in the 1800 block of Hearne Ave. According to an MCSO press release, the female victim, who was 10 years old at the time of the incident, alleged that Hefner, her older stepbrother, forced her to engage in sexual acts on multiple occasions.
