Master Plan community input meeting slated

KINGMAN – The City of Kingman Parks & Recreation Department is holding a community input meeting Thursday, January 23, from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. at the Centennial Park Community Center located at 3345 Harrison Street. Marino named to NAU Dean’s List

Enzo Marino of Kingman has been named to the Northern Arizona University (NAU) Dean’s List for the Fall 2019 term. Enzo is a class of 2019 graduate from Lee Williams High School. After fielding over a dozen athletic scholarship offers for both track and football, Enzo decided to stay close to home and attend NAU, utilizing his excellent grades to receive a Lumberjack scholarship, giving him free tuition at NAU. He is majoring in Pre-Med/Biology and just completed his first semester, receiving Dean’s List recognition as a freshman.

Dann makes confession in year-old homicide case

KINGMAN – A confession is key in the case against two Kingman men arrested this week for the murder of another Kingman man whose body was found in a desert area behind the airport on January 14, 2019. Benjamin Dann, 24, and Alfred Talavera, 33, are charged with second degree murder in the blunt force trauma death of Kirklin Roach, 37. Court records reveal that Dann admitted abducting and killing Roach because he thought Roach was trying to have sex with his baby’s mother.
