Annual street sealing program starts April 13 in Havasu

LAKE HAVASU CITY – As part of the annual effort to keep our roads in good condition, Lake Havasu City is starting its annual pavement preservation efforts on Monday, April 13, which is expected to last three to four weeks. Approximately 375,000 square yards of polymer-modified chip seal surface is placed on approximately 17 miles of streets and parking lots in various locations of the city. Battling the virus in Kingman: Local woman shares her story

KINGMAN – A Kingman woman who’s been battling the coronavirus for about six weeks is grateful to be out of the hospital and home for Easter. Xochilt Estrada Kelly said she is sharing her frightening ordeal hoping that her experience may help others who already have, or might contract COVID-19. Kelly said she developed a persistent cough in late February. She said she thought she had a cold or the flu during a March 5 visit at a Kingman Regional Medical Center (KRMC) Urgent Care clinic where she was prescribed medication and sent home to rest. 31 confirmed virus cases in Mohave County

MOHAVE COUNTY – The Mohave County Department of Public Health (MCDPH)-Nursing staff was notified this evening of a positive COVID-19 case in the Lake Havasu City service area. The individual, who is in the 20-44 year-old age range, is in isolation and recovering at home.  It has yet to be determined if the case is travel-related, epidemiologically-linked to another identified case, or the result of community spread. Public Health nurses are currently in the process of conducting the contact investigation. This new case brings to 31 the total positives cases in the county.
