Kingman to begin striping operations

KINGMAN – The City of Kingman is starting long line striping of roads starting Tuesday, May 26. Typical times will be from 5:00 a.m. through 3:00 p.m., Tuesday through Thursday. Crews will start with the yellow striping, and then white striping at a later date. Crews will only occupy one lane, and in most areas, drivers will be able to drive around striping vehicles, however we ask drivers to use caution around crews. The city recommends drivers not drive through newly applied paint but depending on temperatures, paint can dry within about 30 seconds. The schedule will be dictated by…

Burn ban issued for Mohave County

MOHAVE COUNTY – The Mohave County Board of Supervisors has issued Stage 2 fire restrictions within the entire county. Based on this direction, the City of Kingman is instituting a fire burn ban effective immediately. The ban includes the prohibition of the sale of consumer fireworks as addressed in House Bill 1158. The ban also resends any open burn permits issued by the city of Kingman within the last 30 days. No burn permit applications will be accepted until further notice.
