Juelfs named to CSC’s President’s List

Kael Juelfs of Kingman, was named on the Chadron State College President’s List for the Spring 2020 semester. Students on the list have a 4.0 grade point average on a 4.0 scale. To qualify, students must be enrolled in 12 credit hours of coursework, be seeking their first bachelor’s degree, and have no incomplete grades during the semester.  Chadron State College, which was founded in 1911, is the only four-year, regionally-accredited college in the western half of Nebraska.

Sounds of Kingman to present first concert of the season

KINGMAN – The first Concert in the Park this year features the Dale Gillespie Blues Project. The concert will be held Sunday, June 14 at 4 p.m. at Metcalfe Park in downtown Kingman. Leader Dale Gillespie formed the group when he moved to Kingman from Alaska about two and a half years ago. They perform a mix of classic rock and blues combined with some original works. BULLHEAD CITY – Four schools in the Bullhead City Elementary and Colorado River Union High School Districts will again participate in the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s summer food service program.  Beginning Monday (June 1), drive-through grab-and-go meals will be available to all children and teens 18 and under three days a week at four different sites. Information sought in pronghorn poaching case

KINGMAN, Ariz. — The Arizona Game and Fish Department is seeking information about the recent poaching of an adult pronghorn buck near Seligman, Arizona. The pronghorn buck was found on the side of a frontage road 2 miles west of the Jolly Road exit off of Interstate 40. Grand Canyon National Park warns visitors to beware of wild rabbit carcasses

GRAND CANYON – The National Park Service is asking visitors to take caution and not to approach wildlife, especially wild rabbits. Rabbit hemorrhagic disease (RHDV2) was recently detected in a dead jackrabbit found within Grand Canyon National Park, making it the first detected case in the park. RHDV2 is a highly-contagious and lethal viral disease among domestic and wild rabbits. The virus does not infect humans, but other causes of illness and mortality of rabbits can.
