MOHAVE COUNTY – Defendants from Bullhead City and Golden Valley will be going to prison under terms of recently entered plea agreements that resolve their separate drug cases. A 5.5-year prison term is mandated in the plea deal for Brock Barnett, 30. The Bullhead City man pleaded guilty on August 11 to possession of narcotic drugs for sale. LAKE HAVASU CITY – Two women were not injured when the parked vehicle they occupied was blasted by a round fired from a shotgun. Lake Havasu City police said the August 16 incident occurred in the driveway in the 200 block of S. Lake Havasu Avenue. Sergeant Tom Gray said officers learned that Danny Jones, 52, Lake Havasu, pulled his vehicle behind the one the women were in. KINGMAN – A Golden Valley man who engaged in sexual activity with his own son is going to the Arizona Department of Corrections if a local judge accepts a plea agreement entered Monday. Judge Billy Sipe deferred acceptance of the plea proposal until a September 17 hearing. Larry Hayes, 35, had been charged with three counts of sexual conduct with a minor. The proposed case resolution dismisses one count and reduces two others to attempted sexual conduct with a minor.
