Fatal hit and run under investigation

KINGMAN – Kingman police are investigating a hit and run pedestrian fatality. Deputy Chief Joel Freed said the body of a man was found in the roadway of the 900 block of Beale St. in downtown Kingman at about 9:30 p.m. Friday, June 14.
The name of the 68-year-old victim is initially withheld.
“Investigators determined that the male subject had been struck by a west bound vehicle and possibly ran over by an additional vehicle,” Freed said. “At this time the suspected hit and run vehicle is unknown.

KINGMAN – Trial has opened in Kingman for a Meadview man accused of using his homemade dune buggy to ram the quad operated by his on-again, off-again girlfriend, resulting in fatality. John Stettler, 42, is charged with second-degree murder in the July 28, 2023 death of Sally Minard, 38, Meadview.
Prosecutor Amanda Claerhout and defense attorney Paul Amann agree that the defendant and victim endured a super tumultuous relationship that could turn on a dime. They told the jury that the rocky nature of the couple’s relationship would be evident during trial.
