Seven new virus cases today; five in Kingman

MOHAVE COUNTY, AZ (April 24, 2020) Mohave County now has a total of 82 COVID-19 positive cases.  Seven new cases were confirmed late this afternoon. The contact investigations have been initiated with all seven. Five of the latest positives are in the Kingman service area and two are in the Bullhead City service area. Both of the two cases in the Bullhead area are in the 20-44 year age range and are currently in isolation and recovering at home. Child abductor traced to Golden Valley

An 8-year-old boy abducted in Stockton, California was reunited with his mother Thursday after being rescued in Golden Valley. The U.S. Marshals Service said that 37-year-old Dustin Messner kidnapped his own son during an April 5 visitation arrangement with a relative. During his two weeks on the run, Messner made numerous comments and posts to his social media accounts expressing his belief that man’s law had no authority over him and that he would not be returning his son,” a news release stated.Messner also made several threats to any law enforcement who attempted to take his son from him. MOHAVE COUNTY, AZ (April 22, 2020) – The Mohave County Health Department MCDPH-Nursing staff was notified tonight of 5 new positive COVID-19 cases. The first four are all in the Kingman service area.
