KINGMAN – The City of Kingman has a new Police Chief. Rusty Cooper has assumed command of the Kingman Police Department (KPD) where he’s been promoted to the top cop spot after 28 years with the agency. “I’m very excited to be stepping into this role. The Mohave County Health Department (MCDPH) Nursing staff was notified early Saturday evening of five new COVID-19 positive cases, all in the Kingman service area. The county total is now 88, including 4 deaths. The contact investigations have been initiated and all five individuals have been determined to be epidemiologically-linked to other confirmed cases. Three of the five are 65+ and hospitalized. The fourth case is in the 45-54 age range and the fifth case is in the 55-64 age range.  Both of them are currently in isolation and recovering at home. MOHAVE COUNTY, AZ (April 24, 2020) Mohave County now has a total of 82 COVID-19 positive cases.  Seven new cases were confirmed late this afternoon. The contact investigations have been initiated with all seven. Five of the latest positives are in the Kingman service area and two are in the Bullhead City service area. Both of the two cases in the Bullhead area are in the 20-44 year age range and are currently in isolation and recovering at home.
