BULLHEAD CITY – A 10-year prison sentence was imposed Sept. 14 for a Bullhead City teenager who admitted he engaged in sexually motivated touching of young sisters. Judge Doug Camacho also ordered that Landen Ziede, 18, will serve lifetime probation once released from prison. Ziede pleaded guilty to charges reduced to attempted child molestation and attempted sexual exploitation of a minor. Teen shot in Bullhead City

BULLHEAD CITY – A teenager has been wounded by gunfire in Bullhead City. Police department spokeswoman Emily Fromelt said a 17-year-old male was shot in the alleyway behind the Samurai Steakhouse in the 2000 block of Highway 95. Officers reportedly responded at approximately 8:50 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 17. Fromelt said the teen who suffered a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to his upper arm or shoulder was flown to a Las Vegas hospital for treatment. Fromelt said the assailant was not identified initially and that police continue investigating.

Homicide victim ID’d after 27 years

KINGMAN – A Texas-based laboratory has identified a homicide victim whose remains were discovered outside Kingman more than 27 years ago. Previous investigation determined the remains were those of an unidentified black male adult who was shot in the head. Two men hunting for rocks while walking their dogs came upon the shallow gravesite on Jan. 22, 1996, according to Mohave County Sheriff’s office public information assistant Jody Schanaman. She said the remains were recovered near a large rock formation and under a juniper tree north of Stockton Hill Road about three miles outside the city limits. Local authorities engaged…
