BULLHEAD CITY – Bullhead City Police are investigating a criminal damage incident at Rotary Park where soccer fields were significantly damaged. Mohave Silent Witness is offering up to a $1,000 reward for any information leading to an arrest of the person/s responsible for vandalizing a city park, which is utilized by hundreds of local children daily.   Detectives believe the suspect/s drove their pickup truck between the hours of approximately 10 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 24 and 5:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 25. KINGMAN – The many times continued trial of a former Mohave County Sheriff’s Office deputy who admitted engaging in sexual activity with a teenager at a youth drinking party in Kingman has been set between Thanksgiving and Christmas. BULLHEAD CITY – Authorities report the arrest of a transient they say is responsible for separate security incursions at the Laughlin Bullhead International Airport. BULLHEAD CITY – A local judge who thinks it’s too lenient has rejected a plea agreement proposed in a deadly Colorado River watercraft incident in Bullhead City. KINGMAN – Another defendant has been sentenced in a bizarre case in which an estranged Kingman couple admitted disposing the body of their teenage son before reporting him missing to law enforcement authorities early this year. Charges are still pending against Amber Leah-Valentine, 41, but Jon Imes, 42, appeared for sentencing Oct. 13 after pleading guilty to abandonment of a dead body. MOHAVE COUNTY – A $9-million state legislative appropriation advances the more than decade-long effort to replace dilapidated Mohave County Sheriff’s Office substations in Lake Havasu City and Mohave Valley. Sheriff Doug Schuster was thankful after a momentum gain during an Oct. 16 Board of Supervisors meeting. Supervisors approved Schuster’s request to use $2.94-million to purchase a newly constructed building at 6534 Showplace Drive to replace the antiquated substation on Highway 95.
