MCTUPP hosts tobacco cessation classes

KINGMAN – Mohave County Tobacco Use Prevention Program, MCTUPP, is putting on tobacco cessation at Kingman Regional Medical Center (KRMC). They are taught by Mohave County Department of Public Health Tobacco Coordinator, Susan Williams. The classes are free and open to the public. The classes follow Freshstart curriculum, a tobacco cessation support program offered by the American Cancer Society. The Freshstart curriculum takes students through the decision to quit using tobacco, properly planning to quit, assigning a quit day and continuing to remain tobacco free after successfully quitting. GOLDEN VALLEY – The Golden Valley Fire District Board of Directors is seeking a qualified applicant to fill a vacancy on the Fire Board.  Interim Board Member term will be from the date of appointment until December 1, 2022. BULLHEAD CITY – January 28  through January 31, 150 participants from around the country gathered in Bullhead City, attending the Arizona Fire and Burn Educators Association (AFBEA) annual Risk Reduction through Education and Characterization Conference. The conference focused on Community Risk Reduction education and provided an opportunity for fire and life safety professionals to develop new programs, network with other CRR educators providing a forum for exchanging ideas, tips, and suggestions for those involved in the front-line delivery of Community Risk Reduction. Murphy’s Gun Show Feb. 8

The Mohave County Military Vehicle Group will be at the Mohave County Fairgrounds for Murphy’s Gun Show on Saturday and Sunday, Feb. 8 and 9  from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday!
