MCC librarian earns spot in 2020 emerging leaders program

MOHAVE COUNTY – Mohave Community College’s Kingman campus librarian, Erin Roper, has been accepted into the American Library Association Emerging Leaders program for 2020. The program is for librarians who have no more than five years of experience in the field. KINGMAN Come and join White Cliffs Assisted Living Center for a monthly “Grief and Loss Support Group” on Wednesday, Jan. 15 at 6 p.m. These are group meetings to provide support to those who are struggling with issues related to grief and loss. Community exhibition ‘Arizona’ will feature local artists

KINGMAN – The ArtHub and Kingman Center for the Arts will present a community art show titled “Arizona” at the ArtHub, 402 E. Beale Street. Dates run January 7 through February 15. Hours are Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The show features art created by local artists from Mohave County. Central at Southern closed today

KINGMAN – A contractor will be closing Central Avenue at Southern Ave., to complete a sewer line installation on Central Ave. Additionally they will be completing the water line connection in Southern Ave. which will require full flagging operations. CRUHSD classes released early today for staff training

BULLHEAD CITY / MOHAVE VALLEY – When local public school classes resume today, Monday, January 6, there will be an early release day for the Colorado River Union High School District.  All three CRUHSD campuses – Mohave, River Valley and CRUHSD Academy High Schools – will dismiss classes at 1:00 p.m.  Faculty and administrators will be in training that afternoon.  School bus schedules will be adjusted accordingly.
