Using facemasks in Kingman Municipal Court

KINGMAN – In early May, Arizona Supreme Court Chief Justice Robert Brutinel issued Administrative Order 2020-75, updated and replaced by Administrative Order 2020-79, providing Arizona’s courts and the public with direction on returning to in-court operations after limited operations in response to COVID-19. The Order includes direction for in-person proceedings, empaneling juries, limiting access to courthouses and courtrooms, implementing social distancing and using technology to continue court operations. Similar restrictions are currently in place in the Kingman Municipal Court. Court order issued mandating face coverings in court facilities

MOHAVE COUNTY – Face coverings will become commonplace in area court facilities going forward indefinitely to prevent spread of COVID-19. That’s one of many provisions being implemented under a new Administrative Order (AO) issued by Presiding Mohave County Superior Court Judge Charles Gurtler that takes effect on June 1. “This Administrative Order provides additional specifics with respect to the transition to resumption of various court operations in such a manner that further prioritizes the safety of the public, judge and employees of the judiciary,” Gurtler’s order said. Two BHC fires under investigation

BULLHEAD CITY – Bullhead City Fire Department personnel handled two incidents in the same hour on Monday, May 25. Units first responded at 9:25 p.m. to a brush fire behind the Anderson Automotive Field House. Fire Department information officer Lori Viles said the property was not threatened. She said no one was injured in the fire that scorched about 3 acres of brush. KINGMAN – Contractors will be working from now until 5:00 p.m. Friday, May 29, for street and drainage improvements for a private office renovation. CK Concrete is doing the work and Jim Hubka is the main contact at at (928) 279-1100 cell or 928-715-1500 office. Work is causing the contractors to close Robinson Avenue at the Stockton Hill Road intersection, as well as place some lane restrictions along Stockton Hill Rd., as well. COVID-19 update: Three deaths today

MOHAVE COUNTY – Late this afternoon, the Mohave County Health Department (MCDPH) Nursing staff was notified of four new confirmed COVID-19 cases and three deaths. Two of the deaths are previously reported cases in the Kingman area. One of them is an individual who is in the 50-59 year age range and the other is a 70-79 person.  The third death is a 70-79 year age range individual in the Lake Havasu area.
