Two teens killed in quad crash

DOLAN SPRINGS – Two teenagers were killed when the quad they were riding was struck by a vehicle in Dolan Springs. The Mohave County Sheriff’s office responded at 8:30 p.m. Saturday to the incident at milepost 5 on Pierce Ferry Road. Acting sheriff’s office spokeswoman Sandy Edwards said the reporting party had advised that a white pickup truck crashed into a quad occupied by three riders. Edwards said medical personnel had already declared two 13-year-old girls dead at the scene before deputies arrived. COVID-19 update: 30 new case, one death

MOHAVE COUNTY –  Late Sunday afternoon, the Mohave County Health Department (MCDPH) Nursing staff was notified of 30 new confirmed COVID-19 cases. There is one new confirmed death in the Kingman service area, a 90+ person from a previously reported case. Of the 30 new cases, 15 are in the Bullhead City service area. There are 9 in the Lake Havasu City service area. There are 5 in the Kingman service area and there is 1 in the North County service area. You can take your loose coins to various drop off locations in the county, and they will wrap it and take it to local banks to get them back in circulation in our area. KINGMAN – The City of Kingman is taking a proactive approach in seeking voter approval in November to liquidate property it will not control until sometime next spring. The city council voted July 21 to bring the question to the people in the upcoming general election. City Manager Ron Foggin said the city can save about $30,000 by piggybacking the Kingman question on the November 3 general election ballot rather than having a stand-alone election early next year. “We’re just excited to be able to have this done now instead of having a special election early next year,” Foggin said….
