Grant opening set for art gallery

KINGMAN –  Sara Peterson Gallery and Avant Print and Frame are celebrating their grand opening on April 2, at 208 E. Beale St. Join the founder, Sara Peterson, and her team on Friday for healthy refreshments and free raffle for exclusive prizes.

The Kingman Chamber of Commerce will commence the ribbon cutting at 3 p.m. Peterson will be painting from life during the event. View original oil paintings from three masterful artists, Sara Peterson, Valentina Lamdin, and Del Parson while networking with fellow art aficionados.

After five years of renovations, Sara Peterson Gallery and Avant Print and Frame are ready to provide locals and visitors a warm welcome to downtown Kingman.

Peterson is excited to have her dream come to life, “It’s just been amazing to be part of this project, starting with Kingman Center for the Arts, the space, and watching that grow and expand to the ArtHub,” said Peterson. “And now adding more art and culture into this space has been amazing to watch and I feel very humbled and grateful to be a part of all of it.”

As a multi-generational artist, Peterson was immersed in the culture of fine art since her birth in West Jordan, Utah. Sara is a dedicated and tireless mother to seven children, six boys and one girl. While studying for her Master of Fine Arts at the Academy of Art University Peterson gave birth to four children.

Sara’s art is held by private collectors around the nation. Sara has grown roots in Kingman, initiating several culturally progressive projects for the benefit of local families, including Kingman Center for the Arts and Beale Street Theater.

Sara Peterson Gallery and Avant Print and Frame are both located at 208 E. Beale Street, next to The Paw Spa, Wildflower Studios and Gallery, and The Healthy Bar. Sara Peterson Gallery currently represents the art of Sara Peterson, Valentina Lamdin, and Del Parson. Avant Print and Frame provides high quality large format prints for photographers and artists, as well as museum quality archival framing preservation.
