Officer involved in fatal shooting on leave during investigation

GOLDEN VALLEY – A man wanted for multiple felony offenses was killed in an Officer-Involved Shooting (OIS) in Golden Valley. Authorities said Jason Henke, 42, Golden Valley, died of multiple gunshot wounds late Wednesday at a home in the 3600 block of N. Santa Maria Road. The Kingman Police Department is conducting an independent investigation of the shooting involving a Mohave County sheriff’s deputy. Police spokeswoman Jennifer Sochocki said the deputy developed information during an 11:15 p.m. traffic stop that Henke was at the N. Santa Maria Road residence. Fido bag used to save dog pulled from house fire

On July 26, Sunday evening at approximately 9:20 p.m., several Bullhead City Fire Department (BCFD) units were dispatched to a reported structure fire the 1700 block of Diamond Dr. The first arriving units reported smoke and flames showing from a single-story residence. After receiving some conflicting reports that one person may still be inside of the structure, Engine 761s crew made entry through the front door advancing to a rear bedroom. COVID-19 update: 34 new cases, one death

MOHAVE COUNTY – Late Tuesday afternoon, the Mohave County Health Department (MCDPH) Nursing staff was notified of 34 new confirmed COVID-19 cases. One of those 34 cases is a death not previously reported  It was an 80-89 year age range person in the Kingman area. There was one other death, a 70-79 individual from a previously reported case in the Bullhead City area. Of the 33 remaining new confirmed cases, 13 are in the Lake Havasu City service area.
