New airport manager takes helm May 3

KINGMAN – The City of Kingman has reached all the way to Jackson, Mississippi for its next airport manager. Kingman city manager Ron Foggin has informed council members that Doug Breckenridge has accepted an employment offer and will start his new job on May 4.

Foggin told council members that Breckenridge will be an excellent addition to the management team.

“Mr. Breckenridge will bring over twelve years of experience in airport operations, strategic planning, development, construction, and aviation business administration to the Kingman Municipal Airport,” Foggin said in a memo. “Mr. Breckenridge developed his aviation operations and management knowledge and skills while serving in a variety of positions at the Jackson Municipal Airport Authority’s two airports.”

Interim airport manager Joe Husband will reportedly stay with the city until the end of May to assist in the airport administration transition.
