LAKE HAVASU CITY – Authorities in Lake Havasu City are asking the public for help in locating a runaway teenager. Local police say 14-year-old Megyn Whitbeck was last seen in Lake Havasu on April 19, in the 1600 block of McCulloch Boulevard S. “Megyn is believed to be traveling on foot and currently there is no clothing description available,” a news release said. “Megyn is approximately 5’07’’, 130 pounds with brown hair and green eyes.” In addition to Lake Havasu City, the runaway has connections to Whitfield County, Georgia and Orange County, California. MOHAVE COUNTY – Mohave Community College is proud to announce, Jennifer Schaefle has been selected as a 2024 Coca-Cola Academic Team Gold Scholar, this means she has been awarded a $1,500 scholarship. Schaefle was one of 50 students across the country to have received this scholarship. This is the second time she has been honored by the Coca-Cola Scholars Foundation. In 2023 she was recognized as a Coca-Cola Leaders of Promise Scholar, which earned her a $1,000 scholarship.
