Bighorns Booster Club Ribbon Cutting Ceremony Set for Future Home of MCC Bighorns Soccer

BULLHEAD CITY — Mohave Community College (MCC) and the MCC Bighorns Booster Club are excited to announce the ribbon cutting ceremony for the new men’s and women’s soccer teams at Rotary Park, Firebird Field, on June 12 at 7 a.m.

The MCC Bighorns Booster Club, in collaboration with the City of Bullhead City, has worked diligently to upgrade the field and build new structures for the teams. This event marks a historic milestone as college athletics come to northwestern Arizona for the first time.

“We are thrilled to bring college athletics to our community. This is an exciting opportunity for our students and the entire region,” said Booster Club President Mehdi Azarmi. “The support from Bullhead City and our Booster Club has been incredible, and we look forward to many successful seasons ahead.”

The first MCC Bighorns Soccer game at Firebird Field is scheduled for August 7. The Booster Club will also be seeking a sponsor for the naming rights to the field, as well as other sponsorship opportunities.

All community members are invited to join the Boosters for this momentous occasion. Your presence and support will help kick off a new era of athletics at MCC and Mohave County.
