Fox Creek team scores in Science Olympiad Regionals

BULLHEAD CITY – For the third consecutive year, a team from Fox Creek Junior High School will advance from regional competition to the annual Arizona Science Olympiad at Arizona State University next month.  The 12 team members are coming off of a fifth place victory out of 19 teams at spring regional competition held at Estrella Mountain Elementary School in Goodyear. Mohave County Sheriff Doug Schuster has announced the formation of a Sheriff’s Advisory Council. This group of individuals was selected by Sheriff Schuster and his staff. The group meets monthly with the Sheriff’s Office Command Staff to discuss agency concerns and share life experiences with the intent of problem solving many issues that arise. Sheriff Schuster is very appreciative of these men and women who volunteer their time solely for the betterment of our communities. It’s time to schedule your free watercraft inspections and decontaminations before heading home. In order to avoid fines, quarantines and even impoundments when traveling across state lines, the Arizona Game and Fish Department has authorized providers to perform inspections and decontaminations for boats traveling from waters designated as having aquatic invasive species (AIS). “Watercraft inspection and decontamination is the most effective way to prevent the spread of AIS and we are asking the boating public to do their part in calling and scheduling a no-cost inspection and decontamination,” AZGFD Aquatic Invasive Species Coordinator Erin Raney said. “It is absolutely essential…

Attorney General Mark Brnovich wants to warn Arizonans about pet adoption scams. “Every year, we learn about con artists taking advantage of consumers through internet pet scams,” said Attorney General Mark Brnovich. “Sometimes they post fake ads for pets that do not exist or they sell a pet that turns out to be very sick.
