Historic Beale Street Theater undergoing renovation

KINGMAN – In 2018, Kingman Center for the Arts became the owner of the historic theater on 302 E. Beale St. Their hope is to renovate the structure to become a venue for the performing arts. KCA calls what will be the finished theater, “The Jewel of Beale Street.”  Christina Michelson, executive director of the Beale Street Theater project said, “There is a lot that needs to be done. Arizona Vehicle Theft Prevention & Awareness event slated

BULLHEAD CITY – The Bullhead City Police Department is participating in the Annual Statewide Vehicle Theft Prevention & Awareness month, which is a coordinated effort between the Arizona Automobile Theft Authority (AATA) and law enforcement agencies to help reduce stolen vehicles. Kingman Democratic Women continue to support KUSD students with lunch assistance

KINGMAN – The Kingman Democratic Women’s Club and Mohave County District 1 Democrats have continued into 2019 on an upbeat note of giving. Since starting in May 2018 they have collected $600 to help 123 KUSD elementary students in six schools afford school lunches. These kids come from families who are just above the USDA income guidelines to qualify for paid school lunches but just can’t afford the cost of school lunches.  This idea originated with the desire for the Kingman Democratic Women’s Club to give back to the community and it was decided that feeding elementary school kids was…

Chief Justice Scott Bales to participate in ground-breaking ceremony for new Superior Court building

Restoration planned for WWI monument at Courthouse

A group of Marine Corps veterans is leading an effort to restore the WWI monument located at the Mohave County courthouse in downtown Kingman. In May 1928, the citizens of Mohave County dedicated a monument to recognize the sacrifices made by military service members and to honor the memory of those who participated in the “War to end all wars”. Over the years, the monument and courthouse were a source of great pride in the community and a focus point of historic downtown Kingman. The unique monument was designed by E. M.
