BULLHEAD CITY – The Bullhead City Fire Department (BHCFD) recently implemented a Fire Safety coloring contest with the local school district. All fifth and sixth grade students from the Bullhead Middle School and Mohave Accelerated Learning Center (MALC) were encouraged to design a safety picture and message. Each year the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) creates a theme for Fire Prevention Week. The 2019 theme “Not Every Hero Wears a Cape. KINGMAN – Kingman Center For The Arts is pleased to announce the two new schools that have been selected to participate in the 2020 Disney Musicals in Schools program. The program is an initiative developed by Disney Theatrical Productions to create sustainable theater programs in under-resourced elementary schools. The two schools are a part of Kingman Unified school district and the Arizona Interscholastic Association. The two schools include: Black Mountain Elementary School in Golden Valley and Kingman Academy Of Learning Intermediate in Kingman. Youth Talent Show The Annual Youth Talent Show brought to you by the Lake Havasu City Parks and Recreation Department through the generous contribution of Lake Havasu Marina, takes place on Thursday, October 24, at 6:00 p.m. on the Stage under the London Bridge. Registrations are currently accepted at the Aquatic Center through today, Friday, October 18. Music must accompany the registration. There is no fee to participate in this event.
