Havasu woman falls to her death at Half Dome

A Lake Havasu City woman fell to her death while hiking at Yosemite National Park last Thursday, Sept. 5. The victim is identified as Danielle Burnett, 29. Yosemite National Park public affairs officer Scott Gediman said the incident occurred just before noon when Burnett fell from cables at a popular climbing spot known as the Half Dome. “She fell over 500 feet down steep, rocky terrain and was deceased when Park Rangers arrived on scene,” Gediman said. -New closure in effect next week- KINGMAN – Kino Avenue between Roosevelt Street and Irving Street will be closed starting the morning of September 9, through 5 p.m., September 13.
