Anglers catch smiles at annual fishing event

MOHAVE COUNTY – It was all smiles at the Kingman Elks Lodge No. 468’s annual Fishing For Smiles children’s fishing day held Saturday at Dunton Ranch located off Fort Rock Ranch Road. More than 150 children signed up for the Saturday free fishing day and a hoard of enthusiastic parents, relatives, friends and children showed up to Saturday’s event to show support for the anglers and were treated to a free lunch. Drivers should allow extra travel time and plan for delays  The Arizona Department of Transportation advises motorists with travel plans on US 93 north of Kingman during the last week in August to plan ahead and expect delays of up to 15 minutes for road paving. Public input sought on Willow Beach improvements

BOULDER CITY  – The National Park Service (NPS) is seeking public comments on the development of an environmental assessment to improve portions of Willow Beach Road.  The NPS, in cooperation with the Federal Highway Administration, is proposing to repair the deteriorated roadway. BULLHEAD CITY – The Cost-of-Living Index (COLI) Annual Average Data report for the second quarter of 2019 was just released and Bullhead City is once again the most affordable city in Arizona and one of the most affordable cities in the nation.
