KINGMAN – The Kingman City Council is adding to its busy fall schedule. With at least five meetings scheduled in Sept. and Oct., the council has decided to add a Town Hall and a retreat to expand internal and external engagement for brainstorming.
BULLHEAD CITY – Bullhead City is seeking applications from residents interested in serving on the Bullhead City Planning and Zoning Commission and the Bullhead Area Transit System Commission (“BATS”). The City Clerk’s Office is currently accepting applications from citizens interested in volunteering for the following positions:
KINGMAN – A Scottsdale-based firm will breathe new life into the historic Palo Christi Elementary school in downtown Kingman. Sun Valley Builders has been awarded a $5.24-million bid to renovate portions of the building located at 500 Maple St.
“We are not changing any of the infrastructure of the main building, other than widening the doors and adding the ADA ramp and putting in sprinkler systems,”
KINGMAN – The City of Kingman is now accepting applications for the newly formed Kingman Youth Advisory Council (KYAC). After receiving unanimous Council support last month, the staff has been collaborating with KYAC Chairperson Sophia Meredith to finalize the application process. They have also been meeting with local high schools and have created a page on the City’s website to provide additional information to interested students.
LAKE HAVASU CITY – The gathering of burros occurred on August 5 with BLM successfully gathering 94 burros to ensure public safety. However, the animals are still on Highway 95, especially at night.
Lake Havasu City board members caution the community to stay alert while on the highway in the evenings. City council approved two separate code changes to expand the density limit for the various residential zones for families along with the height limit of the Southgate district.
