MCC dental students provide free teeth cleanings for community

MOHAVE COUNTY – Mohave Community College’s Dental Hygiene program recently held Give Kids a Smile Day at the Bullhead City campus.   Dental hygiene students provided free teeth cleanings, fluoride treatment, sealants and oral hygiene tips to uninsured children ages 4 – 14. Dental assistant students also participated in the event. Lexi Borland, a second-year dental hygiene student, enjoys participating in the event because she gets to see different kids throughout the day. “I like that you get to see so many kids it’s fun and everyone is so different,” said Borland. Kingman Route 66 Rotary Club’s February 28 speaker was Kingman City Manager Ron Foggin (shown with Rotarian Becky Fawson and club president Karen Brown). Kino Avenue waterline project continues

KINGMAN –The updated closure will began today, Monday, March 2, and will continue through Monday, March 16. The street closure will continue at Willow Road and Kino Ave., and extend to North Glen Rd. Detours will be in place for street closures. The project to install a new water transmission main on Kino Ave., between the Mohave Wash and Stockton Hill Road began February 10. GOLDEN VALLEY – Golden Valley Fire District (GVFD) and the Department of Public Safety (DPS) personnel participated in a joint training exercise near the GVFD Administration Office on Egar Road located in the western portion of Golden Valley.
