Windfarm construction underway near Kingman

KINGMAN- Construction of a utility scale wind farm is underway at White Hills, about 40 miles northwest of Kingman. BP Wind Energy began exploring possible development of a renewable energy project there 18 years ago. Orion Energy eventually took over the project before it was passed on to Florida-based Next Era Energy. Spokeswoman Lisa Paul said Next Era plans to begin operating the 350-megawatt wind farm this December. Art exhibit space to open in Route 66 Museum

KINGMAN –The Historic Route 66 Association of Arizona is developing a new art space in the Arizona Route 66 Museum at the Powerhouse Visitor Center in Kingman.  The exhibit space will feature Route 66 art on an annual rotating basis. The first exhibit will feature the work of Bob Waldmire. KINGMAN – Construction for the Andy Devine Avenue ADA improvements project will begin at the intersection of S. Second St. and Andy Devine Ave. on Tuesday, March 3. A full street closure of S. Second St. will be required for construction operations between Topeka St. and Andy Devine Ave. S. Fourth St. and Andy Devine Ave. will be reopened to traffic before S. Second St. is closed. S.
