Dam operations altered due to rain

Due to recent rain storms and in anticipation of additional storms in southern California and Arizona, the Bureau of Reclamation is reducing water releases from Davis and Parker dams on the lower Colorado River. The reduced releases at both dams is expected to continue possibly through Wednesday, Aug. 23. At Parker Dam, north of Parker, Arizona, hourly releases have been reduced to approximately 1,800 cubic feet per second (cfs). Hourly releases at Davis Dam, north of Laughlin, Nevada, will be reduced to approximately 2,300 cfs beginning tonight at 11 p.m. MST and may fluctuate between 2,300 cfs and 3,900 cfs…

KINGMAN – The City of Kingman Solid Waste Department has begun removing the 300-gallon shared containers from alleys and giving each customer their own 90-gallon container. There will be no additional charge for having an individual container instead of a shared one in the alley. For those customers getting a replacement container, trash pick-up days will remain the same. This project will be completed in multiple phases over the next few years. Moline to act as City Manager, replacing Foggin

KINGMAN – The City of Kingman will pay Finance Director Tina Moline $526.50 more each week that she serves as Acting Manager. That’s the first decision the City Council made during its special meeting on Aug. 17, two days after it voted 6-1 to terminate City Manager Ron Foggin’s employment contract. The 20% pay adjustment will compensate Moline for additional administrative duties she’ll be handling on top of her fiscal responsibilities.
