The Kingman Area Chamber of Commerce (KACC) is looking for a new president following the quick exit of Michael Hindenach. Chamber Board Chairman Cherish Sammeli said Hindenach tendered his resignation Monday and that it was effective immediately. Sammeli said she appreciated Hindenach’s service to the chamber, noting his accomplishments included relocating to a downtown office and his fundraising efforts involving the Hollywood & Wine and Kingman Derby activities. Sammeli said Hindenach said he was leaving the chamber to pursue “other opportunities” but that he declined to say if they were local or elsewhere. She said chamber staff and board members…

On Thursday, March 21, Kingman Police Department (KPD) Lt. Bob Fisk retired after 25 years of service to the Kingman Police Department and the City of Kingman.  Fisk started his law enforcement career as a patrol officer in July 1993.  During his service Fisk was assigned as a patrol officer, motor officer and a detective.  Fisk was promoted and served as a Patrol Sergeant, Detective Sergeant, Patrol Lieutenant and Detective Lieutenant.  KPD is thankful for Fisk’s service to the Kingman Police Department and the City of Kingman.  They will miss him and wish him the best in this new chapter…

The National Park Service has selected Margaret L. Goodro to serve as the superintendent of Lake Mead National Recreation Area. She replaces Lizette Richardson, who retired last year. “Margaret is a proven collaborative leader who is passionate about bringing people together to protect America’s national parks while providing for recreational opportunities,” said National Park Service Deputy Director P. Daniel Smith. “Margaret is a trail blazer who has created opportunities to hire youth, minorities and disabled staff throughout the Department of the Interior. She has also been successful making our national parks more accessible for our nation’s disabled visitors and veterans.”…
