BULLHEAD CITY – The Bullhead City Council, at a Regular Meeting on July 16, 2019, adopted Resolution No. 2019R-27 designating November 5, 2019, as the date for holding an All-Mail General Election in Bullhead City to propose the question of authorizing the purchase and acquisition of EPCOR Water Arizona, Inc. in Bullhead City, and the issuance and sale of bonds to purchase the property. Haviland Rest Area reopens along I-40 after $3.6 million in renovations

Both east- and westbound facilities west of Kingman are open The Haviland Rest Area along Interstate 40 west of Kingman has reopened after $3.6 million in improvements, according to the Arizona Department of Transportation. The popular rest stop, which is located at milepost 23 about 30 miles west of Kingman, has upgraded restrooms, ramadas, vendor kiosks and utility infrastructure. New well equipment and a water transmission line were also part of the upgrades. Exotic animal measure is withdrawn

A controversial resolution that would have imposed restrictions for circuses and other shows featuring dangerous exotic wild animals such as bears and elephants was not heard during Tuesday’s Kingman City council meeting. Bullhead City Council asks voters to approve funding for EPCOR water system

Bullhead City – The Bullhead City Council voted unanimously July 16, to ask voters to decide whether the city should issue debt to acquire EPCOR’s water system. The move follows many months of complaints from Bullhead City residents about EPCOR’s rate increases and which resulted in the city’s intervention into EPCOR’s recent rate increase case before the Arizona Corporation Commission. In March 2019, the city launched a thorough investigation to determine the value of EPCOR’s water system.
