Soroptimist annual event for middle, high school girls set

Pre-registration deadline is March 14 KINGMAN – Soroptimist International of Kingman will hold its annual Dream It, Be It at White Cliffs Middle School on Saturday, March 28. This one-day event is a day of knowledge and inspiration to help consider aspirations in young women in middle and high school. The event is from 8:15a.m.to 4:00 p.m. with sign in/registration beginning at 7:45. The deadline for pre-registration is March 14. KINGMAN – On Feb 20, The Mohave County Community College Small Business Development Center, held a Safety for Small Business Owners Training at the Kingman Powerhouse Visitor Center, in Kingman. The class was free and open to anyone interested in small businesses. The training was overseen by SBDC representatives Lisa Card and Meghan Borker. The training presentation was conducted by Kingman Police Department Detectives Adam Parrott & Jesse Kennedy. Mohave Community College joined the nine other Arizona Community College districts for a rally at the State Capitol last week, showcasing their programs, students and the staggering economic benefits they deliver to Arizona. New interchange in downtown Kingman will go out for bid in 2023

KINGMAN – The timetable for development of a new Highway 93/Interstate 40 traffic interchange in downtown Kingman was updated during separate February 18 meetings of the Mohave County Board of Supervisors and Kingman City Council. Todd Steinberger, an assistant district engineer with the Arizona Department of Transportation said project design is currently 30% complete. Steinberger said the $50 million-plus project should be ready to put out to bid in March, 2023. KINGMAN – Kingman Powerhouse Kiwanis is holding its annual scholarship fundraiser on March 7! Please join them as they raise money to support graduating seniors attending trade schools, community colleges, and universities.
