KINGMAN – The Bureau of Land Management reports 91% containment of the Ridge Fire that has been held to just under 3,100 acres in the Hualapai Mountains. About 175 personnel remain on the fire, securing containment lines and stamping out hotspots. Mop up operations will continue with full containment expected next Tuesday.

MOHAVE COUNTY – The Mohave County Health Department (MCDPH) Nursing staff has been notified of a total of 11 new confirmed COVID-19 cases and also, three deaths as of Tuesday. Water releases scheduled at Davis Dam

BOULDER CITY, Nev. — The Bureau of Reclamation will reduce releases from Davis Dam on Thursday, August 27, and Thursday, September 10, as part of an experimental pilot program to decrease the local caddisfly population, a nuisance to local recreation, businesses and visitors to the area. Hourly releases at Davis Dam, north of Laughlin, Nevada, will be reduced to approximately 2,000 cubic feet per second beginning at 6:00 a.m. MST and continue throughout the remainder of the day.
