BULLHEAD CITY -The City of Bullhead City Public Works Department has the following projects going on in addition to regular work around our city during the week of Feb. 15: ·            City crews will be performing sewer cleaning on Zircon Ave., Baseline Rd. and Garnet Ln. ·            Herbicide applications and mechanical weed removal will continue along the Bullhead Parkway from Adobe R. north. ·            City crews will be performing street sweeping ahead of the slurry and in Holiday Highlands neighborhood. ·            City crews will be filling pothole along the Bullhead Parkway and throughout the City as needed. ·            City crews will continue shoulder and restoration…

City offices Presidents Day Closures

KINGMAN – City offices will be closed Monday, February 15, in honor of Presidents Day. There will be no residential or commercial trash service on Monday, February 15; Monday and Tuesday customers should put their cans out one day late. KART will also not operate on Monday, but will return to normal operating hours Tuesday, February 16. LAKE HAVASU CITY – City offices are closed on Monday, February 15, in observance of the Presidents Day Holiday. Police and Fire Department services are unaffected, however administrative offices are closed. All City offices will resume normal schedules on Tuesday, February 16.

Campaign violations corrected

MOHAVE COUNTY – Campaign finance law violations have been resolved by former Mohave County Dist. 1 Sup. candidate Jim Hamersley. A complaint by former Dist. 1 Sup. candidate Becky Foster resulted in conclusion of violation by the County Elections and Attorney offices. Deputy county attorney Ryan Esplin sent Hamersley a notice of violation for failing to complete his initial statement of campaign organization. Esplin said Hamersley also failed to delineate self-funded campaign expenditures totaling just under $26,000 for the Aug. 2020 primary election. Both violations were corrected in amended elections office filings last month. No sanction or other consequence results….

Borelli wants election inspection

A local lawmaker is among Arizona senators calling for an examination of Maricopa County voting equipment and ballots for possible tampering to impact the outcome of the Presidential election. Dist. 5 state senator Sonny Borrelli said testimony at an informal hearing established probable cause to inspect the items given allegations of counterfeit ballots and alteration of votes in cyberspace. Speaking at the Feb. 5 coffee with the mayor event in Lake Havasu City, Borrelli said he and other senators will continue pushing the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors to cooperate with a subpoena to allow the inspection. KRMC completes emergency department expansion

Stockton Hill entrance to open Wednesday KINGMAN – Kingman Regional Medical Center (KRMC) will open its new emergency department (E.D) entrance on Wednesday, February 10. This entrance is part of KRMC’s E.D. facility expansion, which began in October 2019. Starting Wednesday at 7 a.m., individuals seeking emergency care are to enter the KRMC campus using Stockton Hill Road at the traffic lights.
