Saturday, April 13, All Starz Academy hosted Starkydz “Wish Upon A Star” Pageant at White Cliffs Middle School.
The pageant is an all-natural beauty pageant for both boys and girls, from infants through age 18. “They compete in formal wear, Disney wear, spokesmodel (they have a speech category), and talents. It’s a good way to encourage poise, presentation and to really promote confidence. The All Starz Academy teaches ballet, tap, acrobatics, jazz and hip hop to students ages 2-17 and all those styles were performed at Saturday’s recital. They also have a booster club that was present at the dance recital selling treats and flowers as a fundraising opportunity to help the children. “We are the All Starz Gymnastics and Dance booster Club and the proceeds go to the team dance girls and team Gymnastics girls. We found that there were girls that were unable to join due to financial situations and we never want a little girl to be unable to join because of that reason. So it helps pay for their travel, their competition and their uniforms,” says Michelle Wisda with the All Starz Booster Club.
