BULLHEAD CITY – Bullhead City is seeking applications from residents interested in serving on the Bullhead City Planning and Zoning Commission and the Bullhead Area Transit System Commission (“BATS”). The City Clerk’s Office is currently accepting applications from citizens interested in volunteering for the following positions:
The Planning and Zoning Commission provides recommendations to the City Council as to the best present and future use to which land and buildings shall be put within the city, and meets on a monthly basis. One seat is available with a term expiring on June 30, 2026.
The BATS Commission makes recommendations to the Bullhead City Council regarding the development and maintenance of a public transportation system for the city. The BATS Commission meets quarterly on the first Monday of February, May, August, and November; and holds special meetings as required. Three seats on the BATS Commission are currently available. Two seats are available with terms expiring on September 30, 2026 and one seat is available with a partial term expiring on September 30, 2025.
To be eligible, applicants must understand the issues addressed by the commission or board seat for which they apply. The Bullhead City Council will review candidates’ knowledge and experience with the applicable issues and only appoint candidates deemed sufficiently qualified.

Appointments are made by the Bullhead City Council. Those submitting applications to the City Clerk prior to September 3, at 5 p.m. will be considered for appointment at the September 17, City Council meeting. Applicants are invited to attend this meeting.
