Teen injured in home blaze

BULLHEAD CITY – A juvenile suffered smoke inhalation in a Friday fire that destroyed a home in the 1800 block of Diamond Drive in Bullhead City. Fire Department personnel dispatched at 11:08 a.m. reportedly arrived to find a mobile home 75% involved in smoke with flames burning through side windows. Fire department spokeswoman Lori Viles said the minor was treated on scene and transported to a local hospital while firefighters used the deck-mounted master stream for an aggressive attack on the blaze. “Crews continued to knock down the fire and start the overhaul process,” Viles said in a news release….

LHC PD earns accreditation

LAKE HAVASU CITY – The Lake Havasu City Police Department (LHCPD) has complied with dozens of benchmarks to achieve accreditation status. City manager Jess Knudson said the agency and its leaders worked hard last year to pass each of the necessary 174 standards. Knudson said the LHCPD is the 4th agency to earn the elevated status designation through the Arizona Law Enforcement Accreditation Program. LAKE HAVASU CITY – Four Lake Havasu City residents have been arrested following a multiple-month investigation of suspected drug sale activity at a home in the 1600 block of Avalon Avenue.
