Teen injured in home blaze

BULLHEAD CITY – A juvenile suffered smoke inhalation in a Friday fire that destroyed a home in the 1800 block of Diamond Drive in Bullhead City. Fire Department personnel dispatched at 11:08 a.m. reportedly arrived to find a mobile home 75% involved in smoke with flames burning through side windows.

Fire department spokeswoman Lori Viles said the minor was treated on scene and transported to a local hospital while firefighters used the deck-mounted master stream for an aggressive attack on the blaze.

“Crews continued to knock down the fire and start the overhaul process,” Viles said in a news release. “The Red Cross was contacted to assist the occupants, and no other injuries were reported during this incident.”

Cause of the fire is under investigation.
