Hoosier guitarist/vocalist Brian Keith Wallen won second place in the International Blues Challenge. Their influences range from acoustic favorites like Chris Stapleton and John Prine to the guitar-driven blues of John Mayer and Bonnie Raitt. Echoes of Childhood: Free concert Saturday

KINGMAN – Sunday, March 8, at 3:00 p.m., at Kingman a Presbyterian Church (2425 Detroit Ave), Kingman Concert Band will be in concert, performance titled, “Echoes of Childhood.” The 75 minute performance is free and open to the public and will feature a variety of selections taking the audience back to their youth. “The Kingman Concert Band has provided free performances to the greater Kingman area for over twenty years. Alex Bosze went home to be with his Lord Jesus on February 13, 2020 in Bullhead, Arizona at the age of 81 surrounded by family. Alex was born in Hungary on May 22, 1938. He became a citizen of the United States Of America on September 5, 1962. He was an avid bowler and in 2013 Alex finally bowled a 300 game! Jon Edward Glenn passed away March 4, 2020 in Kingman, Arizona at the age of 82 surrounded by family. Jon was born in Wilcox, Arizona on November 21, 1937 to Clois Kaiser and Ira Glenn. Jon married Diane Grimes on December 11, 1976 in Kingman, Arizona. Jon worked for Citizens Utilities Phone for 36 years and retired in 2002. KINGMAN – The Kingman Police Department is investigating a scam that resulted in a Kingman couple being scammed out of hundreds of thousands of dollars. In this scam the suspect arrived at the victim’s home, dressed in business attire, pretending to be from the US Department of Treasury. Over the course of several days and several transactions the couple provided several hundred thousand dollars to the scammer. KPD detectives are investigating. The suspect information is limited.
