Concerns voiced regarding ambiguous development plans KINGMAN – The Kingman Planning and Zoning Commission tabled a rezoning request during its March 10 meeting. The matter involved two properties being rezoned from rural residential to the C-3 commercial designation. The near one-acre and near two-acre parcels are both located in the vicinity of North Bank Street and Gordon Drive. BULLHEAD CITY/MOHAVE VALLEY – Breakfast and lunch will be available for students in the Bullhead City Elementary and Colorado River Union High School Districts during the State-mandated school shutdown. The meals will be prepared in carry-out fashion at five local schools for children 18 and under. BULLHEAD CITY – Based on discussions with the Mohave County Public Health Department and guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the State of Arizona, the City of Bullhead City is modifying a number of City services due to the nationwide Covid-19 emergency: 1. Dear Editor, In these contentious times there are people of every political persuasion who feel very strongly that their particular philosophy is the correct and only way for their city, or county or state or our nation to function. Most of those folks are very passionate and dedicated, and some few are vocal, participatory and involved. The sad thing about it is that so very few people are actually interested enough to be personally, physically involved. Those few active folks are the ones who dedicate many hours of their time as unpaid, and greatly appreciated volunteers for their chosen cause….

BULLHEAD CITY – Late afternoon weather resulted in two outages impacting Mohave Electric Cooperative members in the Bullhead City and Kingman service areas on Thursday, March 12. An extreme storm and lightning resulted in 1,414 members losing power for nine minutes beginning at 5:57 p.m. in north Bullhead City and 2,489 members east of Kingman ranging from the Hualapai mountains through Valle Vista, Truxton, and Valentine to parts of Peach Springs.
