Kino Avenue closures extended due to weather

KINGMAN – Due to recent and expected rains, the Kino Avenue closure will continue through Wednesday, March 18, at the minimum. The street closure is at Willow Road and Kino Ave., and extends to North Glen Rd. Detours are still in place for street closures. This project is the continuation of a multi-phased project to improve water delivery to city water storage tanks that will allow our infrastructure run more efficiently, resulting in an overall benefit to our customers. Human Bean construction underway in Kingman

Initial construction is underway where a new coffee shop will soon be going vertical in Kingman. The community’s second Human Bean store is being built just southwest of Taco Bell, in the old Kmart parking lot along Andy Devine Avenue. Arizona reports nine cases of Coronovirus

Arizona currently has nine cases (three in Maricopa County, fivein Pinal County and one in Pima County). Daily updates on the number of cases can be found at azhealth.gov/COVID19. Symptoms include fever, cough and shortness of breath. Cookie fundraising scam reappears

Woman falsely claims funds are for Mohave HS BULLHEAD CITY – For the third time in the last few years, Mohave High School has been advised that someone in the area is fraudulently selling cookies as a fundraiser for the school’s cheerleading program.  The money is supposedly for a cheerleading trip to California.  Mohave cheerleading coach Noel King and others were advised of the scam.  Each year, the woman allegedly approaches area businesses and individuals; she has been described as “sketchy.” King worries that scams such as this take money away from legitimate and authorized fundraising programs that will benefit…
