Hiker Fatality on South Kaibab Trail in Grand Canyon National Park

Grand Canyon, AZ-  On June 24 at approximately 5:36 p.m., the Grand Canyon Regional Communications Center received a call reporting a fatality approximately half a mile above the Tip Off resthouse on the South Kaibab Trail. CPR was initiated and National Park Service personnel responded from the South Rim via helicopter. The victim, Catherine Houe, 49, of Daly City, California was hiking into the canyon to spend the night at Phantom Ranch. Kino Avenue waterline project lane closures

KINGMAN –The closure will begin Tuesday, June 30 at 7:00 a.m. through July 1 at 5:00 p.m. The street closure will be on Kino Avenue at Willow Road and extend to North Glen Rd. Detours will be in place for street closures. The project to install a new water transmission main on Kino Ave., between the Mohave Wash and Stockton Hill Road began February 10. COVID-19 update: 45 new cases, two deaths

MOHAVE COUNTY – Late Thursday afternoon, the Mohave County Health Department (MCDPH) Nursing staff was notified of 45 new COVID-19 confirmed cases. Twenty-four of the cases are in the Bullhead City service area. Twenty are in the Lake Havasu City area. One case is in the Kingman area. There are two new deaths reported, both from previous cases.  One is a 60-69 year age range person in the Bullhead City area and one is 80-89 in the Lake Havasu City area.
