KRMC’s Joshua Tree Pediatrics recognized for childhood vaccination rate
KINGMAN –The Arizona Partnership for Immunization (TAPI) has honored KRMC’s Joshua Tree Pediatrics with two awards in recognition of the practice’s immunization success. On April 28, Joshua Tree Pediatrics was presented with a Daniel T. Cloud award for their toddler vaccination rate – 87% of toddler patients completed their vaccination series with the practice in the previous year. SONIC Drive-In donates $2,957 to Kingman teachers
To honor the creative efforts teachers have made to maneuver their ever-shifting learning environments and keep students engaged this past year, SONIC® Drive-In donated $1.5 million to teacher requests on national education nonprofit site DonorsChoose on Teacher Appreciation Day, May 4. As part of SONIC’s ongoing Limeades for Learning initiative, the $1.5 million donation helped fund more than 7,000 teacher requests across the country in need of critical resources, including two teachers in Kingman, Ariz., who received a combined donation of $2,957.00. Dear Editor, During the past year, mental health has worsened due to the pandemic and various associated stressors, especially within our youth population. According to a 2021 State of Mental Health in America report, youth between the ages of 11 and 17 have been more likely than any other age group to experience moderate to severe symptoms of anxiety and depression. The report also indicates that 60% of youth with depression do not receive any mental health treatment, even in states with the greatest access.
