Meth sentence for 64-year-old

KINGMAN – A Kingman man was apologetic when sentenced to prison for attempting to bring drugs from Phoenix back to northwest Arizona for distribution. David Murphy, 64, was the driver of the vehicle from which authorities seized two pounds of methamphetamine in south Mohave County. Authorities were tracking the Murphy vehicle by cellphone before the Oct. 26, 2023 traffic stop in the 1800 block of U.S. 93 in the vicinity of Wikieup. KINGMAN – The City of Kingman has been working with Catholic Charities of Arizona on their $4.5 million renovation of the Route 66 Motel located at 2939 E. Andy Devine Avenue as part of their Housing for Hope program. Transient fatality in Bullhead City

BULLHEAD CITY – Bullhead City Police report a transient was lying in the roadway at Highway 95 and Thunderstruck when he was fatally injured by a passing vehicle. Officers responded to the incident at about 11:10 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 7. Police spokeswoman Emily Fromelt said the 29-year-old driver of a 2017 Chevrolet Sonic was unable to avoid striking Anthony Lockwood. She said Lockwood died of his injuries following transport to Western Arizona Regional Medical Center.
