GOLDEN VALLEY – Bullhead City and Kingman Police MAGNET detectives and Mohave County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) deputies arrested a couple after approximately 10,000 fentanyl pills and methamphetamine were seized. On Saturday, February 3 at 4 a.m., MCSO deputies pulled over a tow truck for a traffic violation in the area of Shinarump Drive and Oatman Highway in Golden Valley. An MCSO K-9 alerted on the vehicle indicating that illegal drugs were present. Deputies located about 10,000 blue counterfeit “M-30” pills containing fentanyl and approximately 13 grams of methamphetamine in a backpack located in the cab of the tow truck belonging to the passengers. Bryant pleads guilty to killing retired couple

KINGMAN – A man who murdered a retired Bullhead City couple who once employed him at their former business in California won’t likely enjoy freedom again. Aaron Bryant, 31, pleaded guilty to two counts of first-degree murder during a Feb. 7 hearing before Mohave County Superior Court Judge Derek Carlisle. Defense attorney Paul Amann noted that Bryant is perhaps the most reasonable and compliant defendant he’s ever represented under such trying circumstance. Zeke Mesa

Zeke Mesa, a lifelong resident of Kingman Arizona passed away at home surrounded by loved ones on February 2, 2024 at the age of 79 Zeke was born August 27, 1944 in Kingman.  He graduated from Mohave County Union High School in 1963.  He attended college in Yuma, Arizona before returning to Kingman to work at Alex Toggery, Duval Mine, the Elks Lodge and finally for the school district. Sports were a very big part of Zeke’s life He was known in the community for coaching and umpiring from little league to AA games, where he umped three national tournaments….
