Zeke Mesa

Zeke Mesa, a lifelong resident of Kingman Arizona passed away at home surrounded by loved ones on February 2, 2024 at the age of 79

Zeke was born August 27, 1944 in Kingman.  He graduated from Mohave County Union High School in 1963.  He attended college in Yuma, Arizona before returning to

Kingman to work at Alex Toggery, Duval Mine, the Elks Lodge and finally for the school district.

Sports were a very big part of Zeke’s life He was known in the community for coaching and umpiring from little league to AA games, where he umped three national tournaments.

Zeke was a lifetime member of Elks Lodge #468 where he enjoyed working with the Hoop Shoot Contest.   His family would prepare a Mexican dinner where the profits benefited local

Scholarship programs.

Zeke is survived by his wife and soulmate of 48 years, Toni Mesa, sons Matthew (Rachael) Mesa of Kingman and Dennis Nogales of Franklin, NH, daughters Nora and Natalie of Phoenix, AZ and Denise Dunn of Kingman, a special person, Jeri Giovanardi of Newman Lake, WA, sisters Gloria (Jim) MacInroy of Tucson, AZ Cheryl (Mike) Van de Beuken of Tucson, AZ and Deborah (Bob) Breill of Bayfield CO, beloved grandchildren, Shela, Rual, Jada, Shyann, Krista, Hayden, Michael, Jordan, Seth, Rylee, Waylen and Duke.

Zeke is preceded in death by his brothers, Don and Richard Mesa of Kingman, AZ and sister Margie Rico of Kingman, AZ.

Zeke’s love for family, sports and the community will be missed by all that knew him.

Services and a Celebration of Life will be March 8th, 2024 at Kingman Elks Lodge #468  11 AM to 4 PM

We would like to thank Mary Aldridge, the Elks Lodge and Living Waters Hospice.
