Homeowner holds alleged burglar at gunpoint until law enforcement arrives

FT. MOHAVE – Mohave County Sheriff’s Office Deputies were called to a residence in the 1600 block of La Entrada for a reported prowler on Wednesday, Oct. 4. The homeowner advised that they had the suspect detained, on the ground at gunpoint. When deputies arrived on scene the homeowner advised he observed the door to one of his vehicles was open. Upon further inspection, he observed another vehicle had the door cracked open with the suspect’s leg sticking out of the door. Evaro avoids prison in plea deal after punching, choking girlfriend

LAKE HAVASU CITY – A man who abused his girlfriend during an alcohol fueled quarrel in Lake Havasu City has entered a plea agreement and begun serving jail time. Deputy Mohave County Attorney Julia Ketchum said Julian Evaro, 28, had been drinking at Rotary Park with the woman before they argued on July 9 at a residence in the 400 block of North Lake Havasu Ave. Ketchum said Evaro followed the woman into the garage and closed the door before he punched her in the face several times and choked her while preventing her from using a cell phone to…
