Cheryl Porter

KINGMAN – Kingman Regional Medical Center announced today that Cheryl Porter, MSN, RN, CPPS, CHC has been named chief quality officer. Porter holds a master’s degree in nursing with an emphasis on patient safety and quality. She is also certified in healthcare compliance and patient safety.

“The chief quality officer is a new role for the organization,” said Heath Evans, CEO. “It’s important for us to have an executive leader dedicated to overseeing our quality initiatives as we continue our focus on providing highly reliable healthcare.”

As chief quality officer, Porter will work with KRMC’s healthcare professionals at all levels to continuously improve healthcare outcomes by reducing ineffective care, waste, and harm to patients.

Porter has a diverse background in healthcare and patient safety. She began her healthcare career as a registered nurse in 1993. Her experience includes intensive care and trauma nursing, infection prevention, home health and hospice, and patient experience and engagement. She joined

Kingman Regional in 2016 as director of risk management and patient safety. In 2021, she was promoted to chief compliance officer – a position in which she assured KRMC continued to meet required standards for patient care, quality, and safety.

In her time at KRMC, Porter has always worked to facilitate collaboration among different areas of the health system. “We’re all striving to achieve common goals,” said Porter, “and I feel I’m best serving the organization when I can help foster those partnerships and connections.”
